Accessibility Statement
The RUF Heavy Transport Consulting & Handels GmbH strives to make its website accessible. The legal basis for this includes:
- Directive (EU) 2016/2102,
- The Lower Saxony Disability Equality Act (NBGG),
- The Lower Saxony Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology (NBITV),
- As well as the harmonized standard DIN EN 301 549 (V3.2.1) in its applicable version.
This statement applies to all websites operated by RUF Heavy Transport Consulting & Handels GmbH, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Compliance with Requirements
The website is currently partially compliant with the mentioned requirements. In an internal self-assessment, the following barriers were identified:
- Alternative text for images: Some images and graphical elements do not yet have meaningful alternative texts. RUF is working to gradually add them.
- PDF documents: Some downloadable PDFs may not be fully accessible.
- Videos without subtitles: Not all embedded videos have subtitles.
- Color contrast: In some cases, text or control elements may fall below the recommended minimum contrast ratio.
Explanation of Remaining Barriers
Despite intensive efforts, some content still deviates from accessibility guidelines. Immediate full compliance would currently require disproportionate effort. This assessment is based on the “disproportionate burden” principle according to applicable legal regulations.
1. Extensive Image Library
A large portion of images is automatically imported from internal systems. Complete manual maintenance of all alternative texts would require substantial resources. Relevant functional and editorial content is prioritized for accessibility.
2. Documents from External Sources
Some provided documents originate from external sources and are not in accessible formats. RUF has no control over the structure or metadata of these files. New content will be provided in accessible alternatives whenever possible.
3. Externally Embedded Videos
Some videos contain only technical procedures or sounds without spoken content. Subtitles in these cases would not add meaningful information. Moreover, these videos are hosted on external platforms.
4. Dynamically Generated Content
Certain content is generated automatically, which may occasionally lead to contrast deviations. Existing displays are being gradually optimized.
Outlook
RUF Heavy Transport Consulting & Handels GmbH regularly reviews whether new technical or organizational solutions can further improve accessibility. Improvements will be implemented as soon as they are feasible with reasonable effort.
Evaluation Method
This statement is based on an internal self-assessment conducted on January 14, 2026 according to § 7 BITV 2.0. The assessment was aligned with the success criteria of WCAG 2.1 (conformance level AA) and EN 301 549 V3.2.1.
A follow-up review will be conducted no later than twelve months after publication or in case of significant changes to the website.
